Why Ride the Tide?

Perfect Location: Most lessons run at Freight’s Bay, the island’s top spot for beginner and intermediate waves. In summer, we head to other breaks when the swell is right.

Right by the Water: Our surf shop sits just steps from the beach, with showers, changing rooms, bathrooms, and secure kit lockers.

Ideal Conditions: Warm, clear water, friendly sea turtles, and consistent waves make Freight’s Bay unbeatable. Longboard pros love it too.

Join an open group surf lesson, take your private group, or have 1-2-1 surf lessons with personalized feedback and coaching tailored to you, your skill level... and see your surfing develop and improve fast!

Open group surfing sessions are always small. Surf lessons have a max. of 4 surfers per coach whcih guarantees a HUGE wave count for everyone.

Surfboard Rental

Just want to rent a surfboard whilst you're in Barbados? No problem!

We have a huge quiver of surfboards available to hire from just $10 USD for 1 hour, plus daily rates & weekly discounts.

Also, we have the $5 USD p/h rental rack (on selected boards)

We are the ONLY surf school at a surf break where you can hire your board across the street and surf!

Our surfboard rental quiver has surfboards from NSP, BIC and renown shapers Walden & Takayama.
